HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY HANNAH!!!

Tuesday morning rolls around, the day of the induction, your birthday. Tom and I oversleep and are woken up by Dede saying "Don't ya'll need to get to the hospital?" We had overslept! (I have to be honest with you Hannah, it is not uncommon for your parents to behave like knuckleheads sometimes). We were around an hour late but we checked in, they get me all hooked up, Epidural in, Pitosin on board then NOTHING. I had a lot of visitors that afternoon but none of them were you, Ms. Hannah. The doctor told Tom, after you were born, that you had stretched my uterus all it could, so there was no more room for my body to contract to help you come out. Prepped and ready to go, I went in for a C-section and you were born quickly after at 5:31 pm.

To my baby girl Hannah,
You are such a gift. We feel we are so lucky to get to have and hold you, next to us, every day. You are the best thing that has happened to the couple of us. You are unconditionally loved by your family and friends and continue to be a constant joy in our lives. We are very proud of you just for being you. My surprise, my love, my baby girl, my namesake, my days, my nights, my daughter, my Hannah. You have changed us and continue to do so each and every day of your little life, even in ways we have yet to become aware of. We'd never felt a love exactly like this, until you came into our lives. Thank you for changing us into the people we are supposed to be, your parents. God's works are wonderful and we see this in you. We brought life to you but really you brought life to us. You fill our hearts with joy and we are so blessed to call you our own.

The 1st year of your life has been most amazing experience…holding you against my chest, helping you roll over, seeing you sit up on your own, crawling, pulling up on furniture, and walking across the living room to my open arms. I can’t wait to see the next things you master. You mean so much to me and your mother and are no doubt our biggest inspiration. Happy 1st Birthday…I love you!

Hey Kelly! Happy Birthday to sweet Hannah! She is getting prettier everyday! Thanks for the bday invitation! We won't be able to come, but I hope it is a wonderful celebration!!
